It´s probabely a problem on your site. Works for everyone else. Check your ports and your network. The logs tell me that you connected successfully several times in the past.. longer than some seconds.
You´re problem could be a port issue, some sort of backgroung process (firewall/antivirus),
a broken network adapter... a to long ping time caused by
an overloaded line somewhere between you and the server.
Make shure you have no big downloads running during an attempt and no other peer to peer networks !
Also check if this problem occurs on other servers as well !

Just dropping in with some nice news.
This night Joko had one of his "I need to hack something into the computer" - "attacks" , and here is what we end up with:

http://cockpit.netfrag.org/fsmap/

As of now still pretty experimental, but quite fun to use  Cheesy

Just hit one of the map links on that page and it will give you the last known position of the pilot you selected.
The slider on the left can be used to zoom in and out. and you can use your mouse to "drag" around the map.

a big thanks goes out to Joko for this one,

and feel free to add suggestions or ideas to this tool.

hey, i'm completely new to the multiplayer thing...um, so do i enter that ip address at the multiplayer screen on FS? does this thing even run anymore? i went to the screen to see who was online but it said no one, and then went to the map and there were a few people i think, but none of them seemed to move, so i think it might just be something wrong with my connection. so i dont know... help... ???

If you see no-one beeing online on the website (cockpit.netfrag.org) than the server is empty.
On the map you can see the last position of user who were online for the last 24 hours (joko and xabbu are still working on that feature
so things might change). People who are online are specially marked on the map.
And yes.. you just have to type in the IP address in your muliplayer settings.
Make sure your ports are open (firewall, router)!!! This is VERY important because if you connect with closed ports
other people are not able to join !!! It can also happen that you can´t join the session.. or don´t see others player aircraft at all. 'If you don´t know how to do this
please read Eno´s router tutorial here.

Hi Sam...Grin...!

Have a peek here...

Tonight's hop was a right old wash-out... Cry...!

...and to make matters worse...
A few of the other Sim V lads were heavily involved in their own practice session in another part of the World... Shocked...!
It's very confusing when two or more independent groups are all using the same Server for their flights at the same time...!
So, the choice is between Sam's server and WSPilots Server if two or more groups are on line at the same time...?
Or, have a word in Sam's shell-like 'earole and see if he can rustle up a couple more Port Addresses, in addition to 23456, eg; 23457 and 23458, (as WSPilots do)... Wink...?

Cheers all...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8)...!

What do you reckon, regarding adding extra Port Addresses, eg; 23457 and 23458, to the existing 23456...to prevent this problem...?

Cheers Sam...!

Hey all, im desparatly in need of help in relation to connecting to the simviation server. Does the thing about opening ports only apply to people with routers?? I have flown on many servers and have had no problems until now. Please help, i really want to attend the next airshow as well as fly on this server. Btw, many times i check there is no one online. I have only tried to connect when there is people online.
Thanks for any help.

Hey Sam,

Haven't loaded FS9 back up but did successfully connect up to your server with FSX using the beta release of FSHostClient. Flew with Jared a bit before he had to go placate his girlfriend.
Hopefully the next release of FSHostClient, the official release will be more intuitive.

I have to admit, I don't like the Multiplay of FSX going through GameSpy. Maybe it's just because I am not used to it.

Hope to see you all flying soon.

Thats beacuse no one is online as most of the people on here have got jobs and also of the time diffrences. You just need to wait for someone to go online or go on yourself do a bit of flying and someone might pop on and fly with you.

I just tried connecting to the FS.NETFRAG.ORG for TS just to see who is on, but I am getting a message of::

[10:00:30] Connecting to fs.netfrag.org
[10:00:34] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

is there a different IP address for the TS??? I am thinking of trying to fly more on the server if anyone might like to join me, but I always fly with voicecoms (TS) open and connected.

(I also have GATES.TO ~~ FSNET Copilot software so I can 'share' my craft with another pilot if you have it too.)
