                      I am reworking an Fw190A to a Fw190A8/R1, with twin gondola's x 2 20mm MG151's cannons.  I cannot find anything on the web with a picture of one(maybe nobody ever took a shot? ???) so I dont know a color scheme for it.  My research show JG300 used a variety of Rammjager versions including underwing gondola 30mm cannon and rockets.  Can anyone provide me with a link or picture of a genuine FW-190A-8/R1 showing the gunpods?

The Fw-1190A8/R1 was a field conversion of the standard A8.  The gondolas were added in the field as per specific requirements.  Some carried underwing rockets and others carried bombs.  However, the A8/R versions had 400 pounds of extra armour added and the outer MG151 wing cannons were removed to save some weight.  The Sturmbock versions were heavier and less manouverable(which I have made this model) and in combat they had escoprting Bf109G fighters(no underwing gondolas) which were to engage the escorts before they flew in.  Where the escorts werent taken out and the sturmbock Fw190's were relatively easy prey for the maurading P47's and P51's
