Anyone interested in building a home cockpit take the time to look at read And this study article!  It’s “GREAT”

http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds $=main/howto/cabina.htm

If the link doesn’t work copy it to your browser.

I have integrated many ideas used in this little pit into my own.

After reading all of our Jbaymore’s articles on his sim pit I must say that
I learned a lot. Thanks J for sharing so much of your time and brain power.

Although I have purchased a large fresnel lens for my sim viewing screen

Just for the fun of it!
I have decided to try building a monitor type projector.

It’s a wooden box with a monitor facing up. A fresnel lens and a mirror
Too reflect the image onto an old 35mm move screen in front of the pit itself.

Being the amount of light this type of projector actually puts on the screen
Is small. The room must be dark in order to see the image.

I want to try and tell FS2004 not to go full dark when flying at night and see if it helps. Any one ever play around with night textures? There must be a way to tell FS to only go 70 or 80% dark at night in order to put a little more light on the screen?

Any advice appreciated!

Try that link... there was a character missing above. Smiley

Very good info there, lots to study and learn from other's experiences.
