Keyboard Emulator

Any suggestions?
I’m looking at a KeyWiz MAX v1.5 has anyone tried it?
From what I see it looks kind of neat!

I recently downloaded a PMDG 737 600/700 VERSION 1.30 aircraft,

Then updated to the PMDG 737 800/900 VERSION 1.10
I must say that this aircraft is a joy to fly.

I have also purchased a pay ware TCAS Gauge from Flight1 that will sure be a nice addition to my Sims panel.

As the left monitor in my sim panel layout is like that of the FS 737 400 I’m going to replace the clock on the panel with the Flight1 TCAS Gauge and pick up a radio shack stopwatch to mount on the CH Yoke yoke.

So far the retrofit is coming along well.
The basic sim is built. I’m now working on the lens mounting assembly shrouds & cap.

Now I’m toying with the Idea of a paneled PVC pipe outer shell.

I’m also working with FS2000 and the CFG Edit program.
In order to make the panel windows without a pay ware Editor. Creating the panel.cfg in FS2000 then manually updating the panel.cfg with note pad in order to run it in FS2004 but will likely end up paying for the FS 2004 CFG Editor before I’m finished.

Welcome to my nightmare!

Imzzaude,

I have the Hagstrom KE72 encoder.  I just strated installing it.... and I am thrilled with it.  The macro programming capability is really a great feature.

See the Cockpit Construction Continued PArt 20 and 21 threads (I think) for some info on it... and the link to Hagstom is located in the sticky at the top of the forum.

I'll have to go check out the info on the one you mention.... got an address for it?

best,

PS:  Let's see some PIX of your developing setup.   Smiley

Working on the pics J. They are uploaded trying to get the link rite. One of these times I will get them to show up!  ???.

In the mean time!

I'm strongly leaning towards the Hagstrom KE72 encoder myself just asking if anyone has tried KeyWiz.

I finished the lens frame today and will likely have the
Lens mounted actually in the sim for the first time tomorrow.

I'm hoping the upper shroud will only take a week or 2
To cut out and assemble. Then the whole sim has to be finish sanded then disassembled primed and then painted then re assembled in the house about 100 trips from the shop to the house.

Then all the gear re installed.
So I don't figure on flying my sim any time real soon.

I must say I'm looking forward to a few late nights flying
With the boys on the Vatsim network.

Later
