I seem to have a technical problem, either not finding what figures to change or what button to engage:
1st, I've been making airfields for WWI CFS1, even modified one of the stock textures which showed up in the sim near one of the coordinates I wanted (in WWI there weren't many permanent "aerodromes" and most were simply the available dirt/grass fields). I then place tents and trees, sometimes buildings, around the area as needed. I copy down the string (e.i. units ) of objects for that location and keep them in a seperate text folder (unit & ID numbers may need changing whenever used in another sim). However, when I run the sim, the distance from one location to the next seems to be short of what it should be (maybe @1/2?). It's either that or the scale is wrong on the maps I'm using ; what's the distance (miles, kilometer, feet... whatever, as long as I know which units are given) per degree (east/west) at latitude 50 and per degree (north/south) at longitude 2 (not that it should be significantly different at any other longitiude along latitude 50 on our not-truly-round world). Or is there a 'reality' selection I've never found?
**(see 3rd paragraph)2nd, I have a mission that works when all aircraft are listed for rookie (level=0) but fails to operate should any be listed for veteran (level=1) or ace (level=2). I've had others that worked with such changes (level 1 or 2 planes only showed up when veteran/ace was selected; with the '0' they're always there).**
** Thanks to DaveCumming for the probable answer to the *2nd* part in another post.  As for the 1st, I'm still not sure but the information may have been wrong in the source. I haven't actually been to France so I don't know the actual distance between Bertangles and Cappy; driving distance is undoubtedly different than flying distance (unless flown by a drunk crow) so I'm not sure which was given.
