KIAS is Knots Indicated Airspeed

KIAS is the what your needle shows(indicates) on your airspeed indicator.
At very high altitudes the difference between true airspeed/KTAS (the speed at which the airplane is actually moving through the air) and the IAS is very large.
For example: at 37,000ft, INDICATED airspeed will be around 230kts, while TRUE airspeed will be around 450kts.

.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......
