Hi Folks,
I wonder if someone out there can help me?

I originally ran my CFS1 using windows 98 but converted to a modern machine and windows XP about six months ago.

I remember the problems that a few people experienced with XP from the Forum about 12 months ago but would like to report that my CFS1 more-or-less behaves its self (okay it does odd things from time to time, but nothing major).  Cheesy

HOWEVER...... A handful of aircraft, which worked perfectly under 98, refuse to make an appearence under XP.

They include four of the RAF 2000 aircraft from the disc that was bundled with my CFS1 disc (Wellington, Shackleton, Nimrod and Chinook); 7NJG's Hs129 and the Hs123 from the Ostnachtjager mission on this site.
There are probably a few others, but these are the ones that spring to mind.

Almost all other aircraft work perfectly.

I've tried Uninstalling the whole of CFS1 and reinstalling... I've done this twice, but nothing seems to happen.  Undecided

I've tried mix and match between the Wellington on the disc and someone elses, but again no joy. Undecided Undecided.

Has anyone any suggestions to offer regarding this fairly trivial problem?  Sad

All the best,
Ken Attwood,

Hi Ken. This is a bug with some earlier aircraft & WinXP. It affects all the M$ sims, not only CFS1. Try patching the MDL files of the problem aircraft with the MDL Repair utility here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2000utilities_gen2.htm

FS200 might if they existed Roll Eyes Wink; FS2000 acft won't without an .mdl change. Third party acft may if made with AF99 (since AF99 was originally for CFS1/FS98 add-ons).
