LEDS AND MY VIRTUAL CONSOLE.question please? (Read 697 times)

does anybody knows how i can add a leds "diodes" to already virtual console done?, i done many interfases with the keyboard among the others i need to know when i'd punch a buttom,for ex. the master autopilot or vertical hold speed, i need that switch to turn a led on and when i hit it back turn off i have tried with SCR but it just turn on and i can't get it off hit in it again there must be simple chip which i can do that,if any want have the answer please let me know

Alrot,

One option that requires no real "circuitry" is to use a double pole switch for the control.  When you push it one set of poles makes the "key" contact for the control of the sim via something like a Hagstrom or EPIC card.

On the other set of contacts you wire up the led indicator for the control to a supply voltage (with resistor  Wink ).  I'm using a regulater 12 V supply (old ham radio unit I had).

You just have to be careful that you don't accidentally get the 12V onto the computer control side of things.  Shocked

thanks John i will share as soon as i can my virtual console with pedals, throlle,it's not a big deal as some that i saw.but see i'm from venezuela and we have not resourses,i'll borrow my brother's camera and i'll send them next week....thanks
