I pulled my post from the hardware site.
How is a current MOBO, DFI NFII-AL overclocked?
From searching the net, different "era" boards and BIOS had different techniques.

Check this site out:

Ok overview but my BIOS isn't the same.  Do pay attention to CPU voltage adjustment if required.

And this site:
http://www.cooltechzone.com/articles/ocingamdcpup2.html

Raising FSB by 3 Mhz increments is allowed on my DFI, Award BIOS.
Bumped the FSB from 133 to 138.  CPU was 1666 start, 1734 at 138.  Modest increase.

AMD site shows 2100 top CPU for Palimino series with 1700 Mhz.  Therefore, FSB 138 is within the CPU family
range.  Core voltage is the same for the series. Multiplier is same at 12.5.

Test shows that 138 is too high.  Reset to 137 and is stable running COF.  137 gives 1722.7 CPU.  RAM is shown as PC2300 at 137.  In fact it is 2100/133 (266) CL 2. I lowered other settings to 2,2,2,5 timings.   If problem, I'll lower the FSB speed by a notch.  CPU temp normal.

You can get the info from CPU-Z freeware on the net.
