i have downloaded some flight plans, i open them and there is a lot of intersections vor´s..... in   a not very long flight like dunkerque-london.why??
why the "rute" is not straight?? when i do a flight plan and i select for exmple high altitude rutes there is a lot of turns why?
if i am doing an vfr flight, the weather changes  and i want to land the atc says that the airport is under ifr and i cant land. How can i do an ifr approach with atc??
thanks

Unless you choose navigation using GPS, the selected route will follow fixed points on map which are located on ideal ground positions and as such it would be a coincidence to be on a straight line and even more connecting the airports between which you want to fly.

This rare but not impossible. For expample if you want to fly in Greece between LGAV (or LGAT) and LGIR even if you choose IFR with High Altitude Airways you will see that you pass 3 VORS all in a straight line. Obvioysly it the intermidiate (second) VOR which coincides on the line defined ny the other two.
