I just noticed that there is an Elite flight console (+ software) listed (currently) in the FS2004 section that is up for auction on Ebay.  By the time you read this.... one of the "white coats" likely will have moved it to the "For Sale" section  .

This unit would form a nice basis around which to build a GA aircraft cockpit.  At the current auction price of $95 plus $40 shipping in the US.... it is a total steal.  It will be interesting to see how high it goes.
