Hey guys wats up ??

i am tad worried about my system currently in transit from america, i am an ozzie and my system is in melbourne which isn't that good for me casue i live 3 hrs away from Melb and have no desktop at the minute..

I would like to know if this system is ok to max out either fs2002 and fs2004.brace yourself Roll Eyes

ok:

P4 3.0ghz processor
1 gig ram
80gb hd
NVidea Geforce 4 graphics card
19"screen

you recon i would be able to go balisitc and max out with this system ?? or am i completely waisten $3150Aus on a system thats gonna do ziltch as far as realistic Flight simming is concerned.

wb please, i need to know i i should shoot myself for ording a no good system??

With a system like that you should be able to run FS2002 nearly at full settings.  FS2004 might have issues due to the clouds.  But it is a nice quick system.

Yeah, that's with everything maxed out. It doesn't seem to be as much of a problem using a weather preset but when using real world weather.. woa! The framerate drop is very noticable. I'm guessing if I slid the graphical goodies back a bit I wouldn't have a problem though. With them maxed and not many clouds around I get a minimum of 28 fps. ( i have it locked at 30) It usually sets right at 30 though.

Oh ok, when yo say preset weather, is that the one where like it changes when you are flying ??

Me system isn't here yet so i havn't installed it yet.. so i have not a clue

clouds are probably the most intense thing on fs...there is texture replacements for them that improve things alot by reducing the file sizes by half. find them at all major fs sites... hope this helps
