Hope someone can help me with this, who is familiar with Keith's CFSME.I have successfully edited a couple of downloaded missions to meet my needs and am currently developing one from scratch I managed to overcome my first error but have something going on I can't figure out. I have read the 2 tutorials available but neither go into detail about what I am having a problem with,

[runway.0]
id=9203
heading=358
units_across=2
base_lat=N29 46.16
base_lon=E48 37.02
base_alt=68
takeoff_start_pos=-600,0
takeoff_stop_pos=1600,200
landing_start_pos=5000,350
landing_touchdown_pos=600,0
landing_stop_pos=-250,0

[formation.0]
id=6000
type=air
players_formation=1
waypoint_path_id=5000
takeoff_runway_id=9203
landing_runway_id=9203
takeoff_land_flag=3
unit_id_position.0=1000,0,0.0,0.0,0.0

[waypoint_path.0]
waypoint.0=0,1,N29 46.16,E48 37.02,68,,,,,,0
id=5000
waypoint.1=0,1,N29 59.59,E48 22.09,2000,,,,500,,0

This is directly from my mission file which should put me on the deck of a carrier I have placed in the Persian Gulf an AFD file is present and the coords are the same but when I launch the mission my F14 is at these coords: N29*45.83 E48*36.98 Alt.000003 ft.
I would greatly appreciate any help.  8)

OK I found something out on this I had the runway options on the Formations tab set for T/L set to both
and I was off the carrier,I tried setting it to niether and
I was on the deck but the engine was fired up and the
plane of course crashes. I wish Uncle Keith would of provided a more in depth tutorial. I have the XL version
article but there are items in CFSME not really covered
in said article. I realize that anyone who wants to try and help with this will probably need more info than I
have given so tell me what I need to post here. TY

I haven't tried a carrier mission in a long time.
To help you with your problem, I'd need your carrier bgls and the mission.

But here's an idea to try;
In your carrier runway,

[runway.0]
id=9203
heading=358
units_across=2
base_lat=N29 46.16
base_lon=E48 37.02
base_alt=68
takeoff_start_pos=-600,0
takeoff_stop_pos=1600,200
landing_start_pos=5000,350
landing_touchdown_pos=600,0
landing_stop_pos=-250,0

try making the takeoff_start_pos=0.0 instead of -600.0
I don't know if the co-ords above are the center of the flight deck or the takeoff spot on the carrier.

And in

[waypoint_path.0]
waypoint.0=0,1,N29 46.16,E48 37.02,68,,,,,,0
id=5000
waypoint.1=0,1,N29 59.59,E48 22.09,2000,,,,500,,0

the first waypoint for your formation shouldn't be on the carrier deck.
That's probably the reason that your engine is already started.
Just make a normal waypoint path.
If you're taking off and landing at runway 9203, those positions will automatically be part of your flight.

I have Steve Baugh's Ark Royal campaign and I'll go through that to see if I can remember how these things work.
I do remember that the carrier altitude was set to 62 feet.
That could be why you're crashing.
