He sure was. I think some of the Johnson stuff is great, "You shook me all night long" is one of my favourite AC/DC songs ever. But the Bon Scott era gave us tracks like "Let there be Rock", Highway to Hell", Touch too much", "Ain't no fun waiting round to be a millionaire", "Whole lotta Rosie"... I could go on all night.
What a fantastic band.

AC/DC is GREAT!!!  Angus Young has got to be one of the best guitarists.  I love his riffs!

It's interesting, while Bonn was alive, true success eluded AC/DC.  There is no doubt that Bonn Scott was incredible.  After his death, Mutt Lange pulled off one of the greatest miracles in Rock history.  He relpaced a band's lead singer and on the first album, created one of the biggest rock icons ever - Back in Black.  I have had this album in my collection in one form or another since it came out.  Great stuff

The best years for AC/DC would have to be:
Highway to Hell,
Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap,
Back in Black,
For Those About to Rock.

After that, some of the commercialism started to get in the way. Yes, even a hard metal act like AC/DC went commercial with "Fly on the Wall"!  Tongue

Angus was definitely an interesting character to see.
I saw them on the "For Those About to Rock" tour way back. What a great show. Angus looked as if he was totally wound up on something!
Such a straight out, powerful rock n roll band!

For what you are about to receive.
We are the dealers,
We give you everything you need.
For those about to rock...............FIRE!
We Salute You!!!!!"
