Is anyone else have trouble with SI and VATSIM? For the past few times I've been trying to get the VATSIM data, it insists that the data hasn't been updated since 2am BST (which was 13 hours ago now). This is quite irritating because then I don't know know who is online and I can't use the SI gauge to tune RW.

Am I the only one with this error?

ok think I figured it out.
The problem occaissionally happens just after midnight (local time) with me. Seems like Servinfo has a problem with the date, apparently thinking since my new day has begun it must be 24 hours later then it actually is. The data it collects is obviously correct and up to date, but Servinfo thinks it's a day old.
I don't know a solution. I just select "load data anyway" and go on. The message reappears everytime Servinfo collects new data so it's a bit annoying.

I'm not entirely sure....

The last time I checked SI, I was being told that the data was about 24 hours out of date. So I loaded it anyway, and under all the list of pilots, my name was there, but I hadn't filed a flightplan. And I had been on VATSIM 24 hours previous to that, so it seems to be a case of it actually not getting the right data at all in my case!

I see. What strikes me is that the SI tells you the data is about 24 hours old (in my case anyway - you had a message about data being 13 hours old), which made me think about the date-issue. I spotted a problem like this at their homepage but haven't read it completely.
Did you update to version 2.1? I did last week, I can't remember having the problem before.

by the way - when you looked using SI, where you connected to VATSIM? Quote:
my name was there, but I hadn't filed a flightplan

I think your name appears in the pilots-list as soon as you connect. Even if you haven't filed a flightplan.

Yes, it shows your name in the list, but only if you're connected to VATSIM. I've been doing this without being connected to VATSIM at all. Incidentally, that makes no difference, whether I'm connected or not.

And I did update to 2.1, and since then, I've had this error. Might try 2.0 tonight!

Final update on this: it seems to be working OK now, without updating or downdating (?) anything. Must have just been a temporary server problem somewhere.
