Playing around with AFCAD and Traffic tools.

If anyone can tell me how to easily do an airport scenery for FS2002, it would be ver helpful...
I'd love to create Airbases with more detail than the default bases.

n1450,
these are all ai
except my plane, which is one of them Wink
The formation flying is me flying next to AI.
The ground shots, is easy, to simulate scrambling you program the flight plans for the shortest interval between each flight (1 minute) so a flight will take off everyminute...
and more at first coz the ones that are late have to cathc up Wink
It's very good to practice formation flying.

and the impact on frame rate is quite big, the more planes you have the slower it will get. Right there i had 11 F-15s scrambling for take-off, plus myself, that makes 12... The computer has to render the equivalent of 12 F15s Grin let's just say i lost about 25 % frame rates..
still okay though.

I'm going to change the Planes to 8 F-15s, 1 KC-135, 2 C-17.

When the mnm-fs B-1B comes out, i will try that too Grin
And i want to try AI choppers. Might get 1 or 2 of the TLUK Rscue green/gray UH-60s flying around the base.

I live in North Carolina and we have it all (in the way of military bases) Pope AFB, Camp Lejune, Seymore Jhonson AFB. I tried to get a couple of a-10's takeing off from pope with a c-17 or two on the tarmac and let me tell you my pc didn like it at all Sad. I could just fly over the base at about 5000ft and the computer would just about freeze. I guess the point im trying to make, since most of my flight time in this sim is in military a/c i would love to do something like this maybe have a few v-22's flying around Lejune or a few 15's takeing off from Seymore Jhonson. Do you have any tips that would allow me to do this without makeing it unenjoyable to fly around. Great shots b-t-w Wink

those shots rock!  Shocked  I love the 2 with the sun hitting the tails. I think these are the best reskin out there. Love the Oregon ANG paint scheme

I believe I read you can't use Helo's as AI but the rest you can. These GMAX plane's as AI should be better than the FSDS models as there is less detail.

Superb shots again! I hope to see those bases if you decide to make them

If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there&&...&&&&
