Last nigt I installed the 29.42 drivers for my GeForce3 Ti200.  What a difference from my old ones!  I can get 40fps when I used to get 21!  I reccomend everyone gets the 29.42 drivers, they look and run like a dream. Wink

PS:  CFS3 isn't compatable with them, though, as I've just discovered... Roll Eyes

Hi Whitey,

That's strange. I run CFS3 fine with em, same graphics card.

What OS are you running? I've got Win XP Pro. More likely to be the OS I should think. Also are you up to date with Direct X?

Hey Roller,
have investigated the matter and it seems only my Configuration-Device was out of Date or some such nonsense.  All fixed now. Wink

OK, everyone, get the 29.42 drivers!  I get 40fps in FS2002 with the MelJet 747 and 21 in CFS3 with the B-25J. Grin  Much of an improvement.

Can I ask what drivers you were using before and how you removed them?

Dunno about Whitey, but I was using the previous series NVidia driver set.

When you install the new ones it detects the earlier ones and removes em.

This can give a problem. I run a 19" monitor at 1280x1024 and when the old drivers are removed it reverts to 800x600.

Trouble is my desktop is COVERED with icons, shortcuts and saved downloads that I haven't done anything with yet and when the res is reduced there are more than can go onto the screen.

Result is that when it goes back to the high res they are all scrambled - 20-30 mins to get them all back in some sort of order again!!

That's quite a big difference!  I hate that too Roger.  It happens to me all the time since I have that bloody problem with one of my display driver things, that whenever I make the memory size that the graphics card takes from the ram any larger it runs my flight sim in safe mode, and then I have to uninstall the bloody thing, restart my computer, reinstall, then restart my computer, then change the resolution!  Ah well, I'm upset as it is so I'll leave it there.  I'm going to see if I can download the driver now.

Greg

P.S.  I have another problem, I have a PCI Geforce 4 as you well know, and 576 Mb of ram, and 766Mhz processor, and with my settings on quite low, without the autogen with the meljet 747, I still only get around 7 fps from the wings and the bloody textures stilld blur, please could someone tell me why.

Thanks.

Hey Greg, part of your problem with perfermance is thefact your card is PCI and not AGP, make s a huge difference from what I have seen and read. Do some research online and you should find more facts about it. It is kinda like having a ferrari with only a very small dirt road to drive on, can't get the performance you are able to. Hope this helps!
