Janes F/A-18 & XP (Read 2635 times)

I have a new P4 2.4 w/ 512M Ram, 128M TI4200, 60GB HD and XP home.  Janes F/A-18 will not run.  I am unable to locate any patches for F/a-18 and do not know how to make it work.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Just run it under Windows 98 or Windows 2000 compatability mode. Wink

Lurch,
Thanks for the insight but I don't quite get it.  My machine has q new Harddrive with a clean copy of XP home.  I can't seem to find the compatibility mode feature.  When I go to system, startup features, edit, the only operating system option at startup is XP.  Thats the only system I installed on the hard drive.

Am I missing something easy here? Does XP have a built in emulator and if so how do I get to it?

I really do not want to reformat the HD and make 2 volumes to install a dual operating system.  If the dual system is the only way to do this I would rather buy another HD and format that with DOS & Win98 and have a multiple boot system.

Thanks for your patience.

Oh, I logged in as Luscombe1 when I wrote the thread.

Luscombe,

All you need to do to get to the compatability wizard is right click on the icon for the program and you'll see a COMPATABILITY section.Go there and check the box that says RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATABILITY MODE FOR ,and then select the operating system you want to run it as.
