Hi all,
I have downladed few freeware scenery addons recently and I have encountered a slight issue whereby the textures used by the addons (building roofs, airport terminals etc.) appear of solid light blue color but only in the top-down view. When switching to VC, spot view, tower view etc. they are absolutely fine. Also when going to DX10 mode (I use DX9) the problem goes away. I noticed this mainly happen for addons that have been converted from FS9 to FSX #i.e. they use BMP textures and not DDS) and is not specific to one addon in particular but to several in this category. By all means I am not complaining and the quality of said addons is superb regardless, I am just wondering if anyone else has come accross this issue and/or were able to find a way around it. Hi Emi...
Don't have a solution, but I have had the same problem. It happened to me over France :( Like, you, I don't have a problem with the actual scenery, which is, BTW, specifically for FSX. All I can think of is that it's Graphic Card issue. mine sometimes gives a black view out of the CP when moving between the map and flight. Best Wishes Ralphc |
