Is there like a group or something a website where i can order repaints? ask for a custom repaint and pay accordingly?

or am i stumbling on a great investment opportunity? :)

Hehe... last time I googled FSX repaints I came across a couple sites like that.  I don't remember what they were, since it wasn't what I was after, but they are out there.

id hate to pay a company to do repaints for my planes, i cant really afford a whole lot, but i also cant find anyone floating on forums that are willing to do it either. id love to pay someone maybe like 5 bucks a plane (we have 5 different airframes.)

If anyone can do the:
A2A Simulations - B377 Stratocruiser
JustFlight - Lockheed Constellation
Freeware - SAAB 90
Default - DC-3
CR-1 Software - Beechcraft Model 18

Id love to give some cash. I dont knwo if what i said above is enough or too much. Id love to maybe negotiate a bit.

Would anyone be willing?

Again, I have to say that if any payment is made then copyright issues come to the fore

The airline liveries, logos and the base PK are the work of others and royalties as well as their permission would be required.

Having said this, Gary J.Smith does repaint for some FS aircraft by request.

I'll volunteer since I'm between repaints at the moment.

Golden Era.... have you tried re-painting any yourself? When I found out it could be done, I tried it. It isn't difficult, but it takes some effort. I use an old Corel photo program to do mine, just bear in mind that most skins are painted from the inside out, which is to say that lettering and such needs to be printed backwards. I did some DC3 repaints to match the old Canucks Unlimited, because my roommate asked me to. His Grandfathers were both mechanics for the RCAF in WW2, one who actually served in Burma on the Daks from 435 & 436 during their campaign there. I will say this, so far the DC3 was the hardest to re-paint, it has parts of the skin used twice on the plane, and parts not.

Sorry this isn't clear. :-?

Some, not all, have one side in reverse  (flipped), but it's not the whole texture and it's certainly not inside out. :)

Hi Garry....I usually don't flip the image, only because I usually forget to flip them back. So any labels or such needed, I flip those as I create them. But you're right, my wording is somewhat confusing. When I work on RC car shells, the painting and labelling is from the inside, to protect it, and its not unlike what I do when I do a repaint. However, on the RC car shells, the labelling and fine details go on first, then the paint. Otherwise, they'd never show. So thanks for correcting me :)

I think maybe Golden Era Virtual should check his PM's :)

In the flipping, I wasn't reffering to flipping and flipping back as in working with DDS

I was referring to some maps where the RH side is orientated the same as the left so everything is flipped on that side. :)

I do virtual airline repaints as commissions now and then, however I refuse to do any real-world airlines due to any issues with logos and fonts. Only exceptions are where the VA can provide written proof that they have been granted the use as such by the airline itself or those who now own its name and/or logos.
