Title: Dave Brubeck is gone Post by Apex on Dec 5th, 2012 at 12:20pm
http://music.yahoo.com/news/manager-jazz-composer-pianist-dave-brubeck-dies-170407395.html
I first encountered his albums in 1966 at a friend's girlfriend's house, her father was a jazz pianist and had the whole set of them. 'Take Five', on his 'Time Out' album, is a real gem of jazz, in 5/4 meter, and just so cool. (5/4 meter: Best example is the 'Mission Impossible' theme.) R.I.P. Dave, and thanks for all the tunes. |

Gosh, that is a loss to music, he was an amazing talent. I used to listen to him a LOT with my dad who was a massive fan. Whenever I listen to Dave it reminds me of my dad.
RIP Dave :'( |

Dave isn't dead! He merely switched to playing the harp. [smiley=engel017.gif]
