Title: FSX Smuggling Session Post by manesag on Jul 27th, 2012 at 9:35pm
Hey guys
I played this game online and I thought why not see if we can get a big session. OK so the point of the game is for the Smugglers to fly their planes with "drugs" to MIA. If they do they get a point. But if the Border Patrol intercepts them the airplane will be forced to land at the nearest airport. Rules: A) Border patrol 1. You can only fly a military aircraft (Radar, Fighters, Tankers, etc) 2. Fighter's cannot use a radar gauge. Only an AEWC&S aircraft can. B) Smugglers 1. Any aircraft can be used except military aircraft, and commercial aircraft. 2. An addition to that rule the largest aircraft that could be flown is a B737-200 B727 100/200 and DC9 3. Must listen to Border Patrol and follow instructions if intercepted. C) General 1. Teams will be made on this forum 2. Smuggler's and Border Patrol will remain on unicom Channel (187.75) 3. An addition to the above stated rule if nesccessary both teams will get their own private channels and must be used for team communication Thats all If you think rules need to be changed please post below. If We get enough people we will begin planning a date and teams |

Title: Re: FSX Smuggling Session Post by manesag on Aug 27th, 2012 at 2:20pm
route is anything you want
only rule is you cannot takeoff anywhere north of saint maarten. or saint maarten itself any route you want I believe this could be a fun labor day activity Also landing point is miami or anywhere north |

In the FSX traffic setting there is a setting to turn air traffic tags on. |

What would we do if a smuggler is caught, and tries to run? What if he escapes the Patrol's sights? I would assume he has eluded capture.

If you are a smuggler and have been sighted the Aircraft will contact you and you will have to follow it to an airstrip and land. You have 1 Chance to get to your destination without being caught. When no more aircraft are remaining or have landed the Patrol's become smugglers and vice-versa |

Ok, So are we going to use FSHost, we already have the SimV server so that can be used. I also have some ideas for communications, and some rule ideas. Please tell me what you think of them: 1.) Team ID's Start your name with a P- for patrol, or S- for Smuggler. if you aren't playing, don't put either in. 2.) Team Communication Send group pm's in FSHost to all team mates, there is no way the other team can listen in unless a team messes up. 3.) Capture, and Capture Orders Send a message to all players in FSHost to announce captures, and give capture orders. |

Title: Re: FSX Smuggling Session Post by SkyHawk00 on Sep 5th, 2012 at 1:29pm
Will we have Smugglers simulate their payload weight? 1 lb is 1 point, and if captured, the patrol gains points based on aircraft type, and payload weight:
Aircraft Weight to Point chart:
How does that sound? |

Hmmm i like the idea. With commercial jets they have to be very limited in range to make it harder |

sure, I was thinking they were more capable of blending in with the AI Traffic, and are much slower to turn. |
Title: Re: FSX Smuggling Session Post by manesag on Sep 5th, 2012 at 9:02pm
Eh sorta
The problem with the DC9 is its very limited range It would need to land to refuel just to reach miami |
