Why wont Ai planes attack designated targets?i built a mission using the PHP packages,and my kates wont drop torpedoes at battleship row.

Don't know if I can help -- only modified one CFS2 mission. In CFS1, formations are set to target ground units (with a '4' or '3'); aircraft themselves are given a 1 or two for fighter  and bomber attack, respectively.
Hope someone here can help better for CFS2.

Are these the stock planes or add on?
what alt and speed are they set at?

thing to look at...
make sure they have a strait shot to target.
are at the correct alt and spd for torpedo attack.
waypoint set slightly past the target might help.

i'll have to look for the right settings but those are some things to check.

Scruff,

AI aircraft have problems delivering weapons in areas with great variations in terrain elevation.  (Remember that the sim is geared for attacks on ships at sea and targets on flat terrain.)   That is the problem your AIs are having.

The folks who did the original PHP missions, spent long hours working out specific attack patterns to get the AIs to attack.  So see the original missions to examine how it's done.   ;)
