Title: Can Tiger end the lossing streak? Part 2 Post by tcco94 on Dec 3rd, 2011 at 2:46am
So the question is...Can he end it?
Has a 3 stroke lead going into Saturday with two solid rounds... (69, 67) 1 Tiger Woods 69 67 --136 T2 Matt Kuchar 72 67 --139 K.J. Choi 66 73 --139 T4 Zach Johnson 73 67 --140 Hunter Mahan 72 68 --140 http://www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org/events/chevronWorldChallenge/tournamentCentral?tab=round2 Haven't seen Tiger do this in awhile either....and still managed to get bogey. That's some thick rough. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLiKPv_NZDI |

He's been playing weak on Saturdays and almost making a comeback on Sundays so tomorrow should be interesting.
But I'll probably watch LSU/Georgia instead. |

69-67-73
Tiger needs to stop partying on Friday night. He's one stroke behind Zach Johnson so a Sunday surge might do it. |

It took 18 holes but Tiger survived the first round of the Accenture Match Play Championship, defeating Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño 1 up.
#5 seed Woods plays #4 seed Nick Watney on Thursday. |

It was fun while it lasted.
Watney by 1 over Woods. In this format you are out of the tournament when you lose a round. PGA National (Honda Classic) next week, then Doral. |

Not a good start at PGA National.
Davis Love III tied the course record with 64. Tiger is +1 at 71. |

Tiger comfortably made the cut at -1 but he's pretty far from leaders Tom Gillis and Justin Rose (-8).
Rory is hanging in at -7. |

An 8 under par final round was close but not enough.

Tiger watch.
Tiger has just taken sole first place at the PGA Championship at -5 halfway through the second round. Phil Mickelson hasn't missed the cut yet. The PGA is a "major" tournament. |

Eldrick will make 83 wins, and he'll get 19 majors, eventually; that's the nature of golf. He's got a few years left to achieve the goal, as long as the knees hold up.
