Simply stated an outstanding selection. The fact that several newbies were selected as finalists by the "Mods" speaks volumes about their integrity. The fact that one was selected by the membership speaks volumes about the integrity of the entire site. Good choice mates and congratulations "GK"........ Ziggy

.....Wow,Thank you very much indeed, mods and all :)

I didn't think much of my chances, the other entries were all fantastic.

I tried to get bloom and lense flair as suggested but couldn't get the colour directly into the sun, flying truckers shot managed it though...... Anway, I concentrated on composition and angle with a flash of foliage.

Also and very importantly:
As a newbie here and a veteran web forum user, I would say that this forum is one of the most welcoming and egalitarian that I have come across......

I must say, it was that AMAZING sky against the aircraft and clouds that got me the most. :)
