Title: Thanks to freeware developers
Post by Bumkin on Jun 18th, 2011 at 7:10am
Recently I had to reinstall FSX on a new computer along with the add on aircraft that I have accumulated.  Thankfully, I had saved all the downloads in a remote location.  As I installed each, many of which I haven't flown in quite a while, I was reminded of the high quality of most of the freeware that is available.  I have spent hours reinstalling the aircraft, I can't imagine the hours you freeware developers spend building them.  It hasn't been said in a while so thank you to you freeware developers who spend so many hours producing a product that so many of us enjoy.

I have all of yours & Brett's.  I will have to admit that I don't fly corporate jets or airliners much.  I spend most of my time below 200' and above 450 kias.

Cool !
You are in my flight envelope.
I created the F-111  PIG  HUD  panel to operate down extremely low and fast.
It certainly keeps you sharp and clinical.
I have the ORBX  FTX scenery for the whole of Australia and my panel setup provides a spectacular  scenery observation platform.

Cheers
Karol

I have looked at all the F-111 downloads as they come out.  They look very interesting but, a VC is a must for me.

The F-111 PIG HUD has, 2D pilots side , 2D WSO side , and a
VC, admittedly the VC it is not as good as some of the latest.
It is not your standard instrument panel , it goes far beyond that with interesting and advanced custom instruments to give the aircraft capabilities that are neglected in other aircraft,
Its more of a serious aircraft configuration than the usual eye candy types.
It provides an option to pilots or ex military pilots who might want more.

Cheers
Karol

All of the great freeware developers are the reason I decided to find my joystick and start up with Flight Simulator again  :)

I bought the gold edition/acceleration just so I could install freeware planes.
Thank you guys, you make a decent game become truly awesome!

Same here. I am beyond amazed at how much freeware there is and the fantastic quality of it. A sincere thank you to every freeware designer/developer.

Hey, thanks for those kind words.
My stuff doesn't really help to the realism, though!  ;D
If you want you can try some of mine:
S-46 Orca (FSX)
S-46N Blackfish (FSX)
S-4A Prototype (FS9/FSX)
SX-1A/SX-1B FSW (FS9/FSX)
Su-26 (FSX)

Those are my best in my personal opinion.
Here are all I have released since I started with gmax back in '07...
