Looks like a 50's lawn dart so far.  Sort of like the British Hawk.  Very cool.
But you know.... Four hours is not a long time!  Wait till you have a year into that project.  And are you going to be able to import that aircraft into Flight sim using Blender?  Then there is all the animation, mapping, painting, and the flight dynamics.  Yah, ya' got'a make that thing fly...  Oh, and then importing and placing the instrumentation into the 2D panel and into the 3D vertual cockpit.
You really gota' like your aircraft to be able to commit to making it fly.
Did I tell you I like the lines of that bird....  "I like the lines of that bird!"

still using the old version of Blender I see; I guess texturing the thing shouldnt be too hard, just UV unwrap it, and use photoshop to get the textures right.

Harold,

Thanks for the comment,

Indeed its an adventure... it will be a challange to fly this beauty on FS.

Its a mix of a Gnat, a Spitfire, a Hawk, a Mig-29 and the Indian Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas.

The 4 hours its just because Im in the stage of Blender's learning... The very basics stuff yet.

If I didn't finish my Su-17m4 (below),

than can you imangine if I'll finish this experimental jet.

::)

Moderators, did I exceed the file size limmit of posting in this topic?  :-?

Cheers,

Luiz

Can you do the textures when the model is finished?

I'm not that good in textures... :D

WOW!  Looks very "Retro" or "Art Deco".  Is that in the game or just a background within blender?

No, that's blender internal render with a background.

So, it it flying yet?  Lets see some screen shots from in the sim...

Is there even a blender .mdl plug-in?
I didn't know it was possible to get an aircraft to flight sim directly from blender.

Well there isn't a truly workable way, which is kind of the entire point when you get right down to it...  :D

Hello guys, sorry for the delay on the reply... :P

I believe the only way to put this baby to fly on FS is to export the model at once or in parts to a file format such like .3ds in order to import the model in 3DMax or Maya or other FS compatible software.

Blender can export a lot of file formats... but it will be a challenge to finish that one...

There's other tool called Deep Exploration, from Right Emisphere that do that type of file conversion, and it also can change the LOD levels.

But Deep Exploration is a payware tool and I don't have it.  :-/

I was playing with Blender and this plane design appears in my mind.

I cannot promisse that it will be flying on FS.

I can give the original Blender files to all of interested designer... as Blender is an Open Source software, the model will be too...

To get the original files, please send me a private message, and I'll send the model.

I'm with a lot of work in my official job. (I'm a 3D Manager in one of the biggest Petrochemical Company in world), so I cannot promisse that I'll be free time to finish this experiment so soon... but in teh next few days I hope to publish some more shots yet in Blender...

Thanks for all comments.

Sorry any english mistakes
