We have screenshot contests for Freeware, Payware, Edited, Judges Contest and the Monthly. We also have some very talented photographers and a Photo and Camera section. Why not have a contest for them, or add the catagory to the nomination thread. I don't have a working camera nor the opportunity/location to compete, but I think there are enough members to have a decent contest. Some of them border on professional quality. I have not had a conversation with any of them, so I don't know if they would even be interested, but I think it would be a very interesting addition. As the title says, just a thought. Cheers,

I would leave out the word 'contest' though.  ;D  ;)

Call it, Photo of the Month, more as a recognition of exceptional photographic work, or sheer dumb luck if no one wants to be so bold.   :D

I, for one, am extremely jealous and would love to visit there one day. But I fear the closest I'll ever get is through Mic's shots unless someone wants to pay for me to fly over there. :D

From my occasional contacts with some of the Welsh folk, including the Hill Farmers, from over the Welsh border close to me, they just wish that the Ministry would find somewhere else to fly their aeroplanes....(Outer Mongolia?).... ::)....!
Their stock of Cattle and Sheep occasionally abort their young when being terrified by the sudden noise!
And the house-holders get their teeth rattled by them...(The Aircraft....not the Cattle and Sheep).
I like Aeroplanes (and Mobile Phones)...until they start to annoy me!... ;)...
.....low flying Police Helicopters, etc, chancing their arm with the 500 feet AGL limit over my back garden!... >:(...!

I didn't realise you'd seen it here. All I meant was that I hadn't heard about complaints from taxpayers. That doesn't mean much as I don't read newspapers or watch TV news. You know what the news media is like, always trying to stir up trouble where none exists.

Many of our top posters in the photo forum are not interested and DO NOT want it.  ;) It has been made clear that it would discourage some people from even posting if it were put in place.
