Title: Notification of replies to topic Post by patchz on Mar 26th, 2010 at 6:27pm
Is there any way we could get this feature back? Some of us (me) have trouble remembering where we post questions and what the question was. ::)
Thanks. :) |

What do you mean bring it back? It's still here. Just click the button next to "Reply". |

If you are talking about ticking the box to the right of 'Notify of replies:', I have and it does not work. It quit working after the last Yabb update. And I still have Yes in the box beside 'Post and Board Notifications:' to send me an email, in User CP/Edit Profile/Options. |

I think he means the 'Get Notification' button in this shot. I've just tried it. Let you know if it works. :-/ |

Hmm, ok thanks. But for some reason, it's not showing up for me. I had so much trouble with I.E. 8 I finally got Google Chrome, which has been great, except for the shockwave crashing all the time, and some videos don't work. But since I have the new box on the way, I did not want to try to fix it. It's probably related to all the problems on this box, soon to be retired.
[edit]Wait; I did not realize it's at the top of the thread. And mine is showing 'delete notification' instead of 'get notification'. Probably because I have the box ticked in options. But I have not received any emails, so I guess it's still not working. [/edit] |

Just got an e-mail notification of your latest reply so it's working. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Maybe the consignor (like: xxx@simviation.com) is blocked in your e-mails?
I had this problem some weeks ago when my mom couldn't receive e-mails ending with '@web.de' - somehow this term was listed in her spam-block option. No idea how it went in there though... |

Well notifications used to work for me with no problems up until the site was hacked awhile back. Pete seams to think it's maybe a Yabb bug but no idea how to fix it. I know I miss replying to a lot of posts because of this feature not working. Real bummer. >:( |
Title: Re: Notification of replies to topic Post by Bob70 on May 24th, 2010 at 2:29pm
It's a miracle. :o :o :o I haven't done anything but, I started getting email notifications again today.
:) Bob Update. I spoke to soon. Quit working again. |

Did that. Still not working. I receive email notifications from other forums that I belong to with no problems. So the problem must be here with SimV. The feature used to work just fine. :( Bob |

Have you tried cleaning up your older Notifications?
Much like PMs, you can only have so many, and then the box is full, and won't send you any more. ;) UserCP-->Posts-->Notifications. |
