Hi there, when I download world scenery from the map do I download the file into 'Flightgear/scenery' or 'Flightgear/data/scenery'
If I download to 'Flightgear/data/scenery' it still asks if i want to put the file in 'objects' or terrain' ......not sure where to download to. Can you help ? |

Ok I have downloaded a senery file W120n30.tgz from the world map into Flightgear/data/scenery.
I have also downloded IZArc extractor program. How do I get the extractor program to extract the files from the W120n30.tgz file into the two sub folders 'Objects' and 'Terrain' (just like flightgear did with W130n30 (san franscisco area) when I first installed flightgear)?? |

Hi.
Browsing through the various inputs here, I've come to the conclusion that at 79 years young, I'd be better off with something clockwork on a piece of string!! I could manage Red Baron and The Battle of Britain(I lived through that at 10 years old) Short of cash now and can't afford the latest flight sims. Although I have got Windows Vista. Any suggestions. There are computer game shops that sell older combat flight games and flight sims for just a few pounds (or dollars depending where you are)
I mean games and sims that came out about 4 - 8 years ago. They won't look absolutely cutting edge but will still be quite good to use and because of when they came out they should work fairly well if you don't have a super dooper GPU or video card in your computer I'm assuming you are in UK?? http://www.game.co.uk/PC/Simulation/ |
