Title: OB 17: Painted Trolls Post by krigl on Sep 11th, 2007 at 4:54pm
More Oblivion: Here's a compilation of some fights I had on a rescue mission to help an artist trapped inside his own painting :o
The fights against the 'painted trolls' were easy, but I liked the look of them and the whole environment in there... Hope you enjoyed! Cheers Krigl |

For anyone with the PC version you can take screenshots like this using the ~ key which brings up the console.
Important commands to type into the console: TM this removes the HUD and crosshair TFC free camera mode - you can move the camera anywhere you want using mouse and wasd keys, it works like walk and follow in FS. Your character can no longer move but your enemies can, so you need to type: TAI Click on any AI or your own character to bring up their name and type TAI - they will stop attacking etc. But if they are running they will keep moving in the same direction ::) TCL Toggle collisions on and off. This SHOULD stop things from falling if you want things to stay in mid-air TS toggle sky can be useful if you want to take light shots at night OR indoors :D Then press ~ to close the console and off you go. To get rid of the effect, just open the console again and type the same command, then close the console again. Making screenies in Oblivion is just as fun as in FS.... another thing I love about the game :) Cheers Krigl |

I bought it, but unfortunately my computer couldn't handle it...at all... I got totally frustrated and exchanged it for Civ4, much easier on my system. Beautiful graphics here, shall we get The Gallery going with one or two? :)

When you press the ~ key, where does it put the screenshot?
Folder name? Dave |

Have you bought it then??? :D You take screenshots by pressing Print Screen - and it annoyingly drops the screenshot straight into the main Oblivion folder. I always clear mine out regularly. ~ is the key you press to bring up the console where you can alter the HUD, freeze AI etc as in my reply above. It doesn't take screenshots. Before taking screenshots you need to alter the Oblivion.ini file though, or nothing will happen. This topic tells you how to do it (the second post in the thread).... and many more things... :) http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/index.php?showtopic=28507 In the first post it links to a thread on 'how to make a beautiful character' - worth reading before you even start the game, though you can alter your character at any point in the game via the showracemenu command in the console (~) :) If you do that, you should not close the console after editiing your character, as you will lose all experience points. Instead, save your game and then exit the game with the console still open. Restart, and you'll have a new looking character and all XP. After you've played vanilla a bit you might want to put in some mods - If anyone wants my list of recommended mods for Oblivion I can post them... Enjoy!! :D |
